Announcement: Team changes

The team changes. That's not us.

In a couple of months, we’ll celebrate our 7 years of existence. We could never have done it without you, our readers, and our contributors: Some have written a few posts and some have been with us since the beginning. I’m thankful for their work.

Today I’m writing to announce two major changes in our team.

Our new editor-in-chief: Amanda Cook

Founding and running I CARE IF YOU LISTEN for seven years has been an amazing experience. I have learned a lot and met some wonderful people.

My career and my personal interests now pull me in another direction and even if music will always be part of my life, I feel that it’s time to let somebody else run I CARE IF YOU LISTEN.

I am thrilled to announce that this person is Amanda Cook. Amanda has been writing for I CARE IF YOU LISTEN for almost four years and has been our Associate Editor for more than two. And by associate editor, I mean that she’s been running all editorial aspects of I CARE IF YOU LISTEN.

Amanda is not only a gifted musician and educator, she’s also an excellent writer and editor with outstanding organization and communication skills. Her passion and first-hand knowledge of the new music world make her the ideal editor-in-chief. I couldn’t be happier!

Our new social media coordinator: Julia Kuhlman

For two exciting years, Martha Cargo was the voice of I CARE IF YOU LISTEN on social media. She brought so much to our channels, in terms of content, but also in terms of personality. She now has some adventures ahead of her, and as of June this year, Martha has left the team. On behalf of the whole I CARE IF YOU LISTEN team, thank you for everything, Martha!

I’m thrilled to introduce our new social media coordinator: Julia Kuhlman! After graduating from Bowling Green, Julia is getting a dual MM in saxophone and musicology at West Virginia University and brings a new perspective to our social channels.
