Reza Vali

Born in Ghazvin, Iran, composer Reza Vali (he/him) has been a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University since 1988. He studied at the Conservatory of Music in Tehran, the University of Music in Vienna, and the University of Pittsburgh. Vali’s music has been performed in the U.S., Europe, China, Chile, Iran, Mexico, Hong Kong, and Australia and is recorded on the Deutsche Grammophon, Naxos, New Albion, MSR Classics, Ambassador, Albany, and ABC Classics labels.
