Ocean Breakup | Momenta Festival

Ocean Breakup explores the literary connection between tales of heartbreak and tales of the sea. Soprano Ariadne Greif joins Momenta and friends in the world premiere of Stephanie Griffin’s chamber arrangement of the “Liebestod” from Tristan und Isolde, with additional works by Alba Potes, Carl Bettendorf, Guy Barash, and Stephanie Griffin.

With a new Sunset Park home set to begin renovation, The Firehouse Collective, a fixture of the New York City arts scene, is back. The Firehouse Collective Fundraising Concert Oct. 19 at the Dimenna Center for Classical Music kicks off the Firehouses newest phase as a 501( c )3 nonprofit. All proceeds will fund the conversion of a vacant 5,000 square foot building in Sunset Park into a new home: an energy-efficient venue with state-of-the-art facilities for emerging, experimental and under-represented artists, plus resources for underserved communities.
