Duo Scorpio & Arkora: Songs from the Rainshadow’s Edge | Ear Heart Music
This performance offers the US premiere of Benton Roark’s watershed song cycle, Songs from the Rainshadow’s Edge. Duo Scorpio rounds out the program with new works by Andy Akiho and Nico Muhly, while Ear Heart Music Director Amelia Lukas makes a special appearance in Takemitsu’s gorgeous and rarely performed piece Bryce for flute, two harps, and two percussion. Additional guest artists include actress Angela Dee and percussionist Owen Weaver.

The final concert of String Theories culminates at Roulette, where violist Miranda Sielaff performs a set of solo John Harbison etudes, followed by members of Contemporaneous performing a new string quintet by Dylan Mattingly.
