Our America spotlights contributions immigrants have made to the tapestry of American music. The concert includes two world premieres: Remain by Randall Eng and Three Songs to Poems by E. E. Cummings by Daniel Rein. The program also includes arrangements of the spirituals “Gospel Train,” “I’ve Been in the Storm So Long,” and “Ain’t That Good News”; and other selections by Irving Berlin, Victor Herbert, Kurt Weill, Leonard Bernstein, and George Gershwin.

A Night of World Premieres

The Bloomingdale School of Music (BSM) is pleased to present its annual student composing project, Album for the Young (A4TY) in recital. The A4TY Student New Music Project at BSM encourages students (ages 7-17) to compose new music and commissions professional composers to write original works for its students.
