Michael Mizrahi will give the NYC premiere of pieces by Troy Herion, Patrick Burke, and Asha Srinivasan. Michael will also perform works by Mark Dancigers, Beethoven, and Bach. Alex Sopp will perform pieces Nico Muhly, and Colin Jacobson. Michael and Alex will also perform a work by Judd Greenstein.

Bang on a Can at the Jewish Museum

Bang on a Can and The Jewish Museum continue their season-long partnership in presenting Other Primary Structures featuring performances by Bang on a Can All-Stars Vicky Chow and David Cossin with Dither Quartet’s Taylor Levine and James Moore. This concert of music by Louis Andriessen, Philip Glass, Michael Gordon, and John Zorn is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Other Primary Structures.

Featuring renowned ensembles ETHEL and Iktus Percussion performing seven brand new compositions by children from the Philharmonic’s VYC program, two world premieres by NY Philharmonic teaching artist-composers Justin Hines and Angélica Negrón, and a few other musical surprises along the way.

Artists at Noguchi | Bang on a Can Music Series featuring Bang on Ja-Pan

On July 13, Music in the Garden will present a concert specially curated by Bang on Can including music by contemporary Japanese composers Dai Fujikura, Toru Takemitsu and Somei Satoh. The music will be performed by flutists Kelli Kathmann and Jessica Schmitz, and singer Daisy Press, all alumni of the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA.
