Sasha Siem

Sasha Siem performs at Joe’s Pub. Her album “Most of the Boys,” produced by Valgeir Sigurosson (Feist, Bjork, Bonny Prince Billy) was released this month. Siem has written music for the London Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Opera House, Rambert Dance Company, Opera North, The Aldeburgh Festival, Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, Neue Vocalisten Stuttgart, The London Sinfonietta, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Pulverize the Sound is a collaborative trio featuring Peter Evans on trumpet, Tim Dahl on electric bass/electronics, and Mike Pride on drums and percussion. This performance will feature the results of two days of workshopping and co-composing new works for the group. Maximizing the large space of Roulette’s acclaimed Art Deco performance space, Pulverize the Sound will incorporate orchestral percussion and sound experimentation within new, long-form compositions of musical and sonic extremity.
