On Friday, January 11, 2013, Chilly Gonzales gave the US premiere of Piano Concerto No. 1, written for a 10-piece orchestra and commissioned by the Lincoln Center. The first part of the concert featured piano miniatures from Gonzales’ 2011 album “Solo Piano II,” and some of his rap tunes.
